Your photos hold memories – but the stories behind them are what bring those memories to life. Here is one of my stories:

This photo is from almost exactly 19 years ago: September 22, 2007, in South Bend, Indiana. My mom is holding my 17-month-old son, and this was the first time he recognized a symbol and said it out loud – he pointed to the flag and said “En-a Dee”, recognizing the interlocking ND. We lived in Chicago in the late 2000s and would go to two or three Notre Dame football games every fall (my husband and I both graduated from ND in the early ’90s) and meet up with my parents, who would drive up from Columbus, Ohio and host elaborate tailgaters. We have so many wonderful memories of meeting up with friends and family at the tailgaters from 2006-2014! We moved to Colorado in 2015 and rarely made it back to campus after that, at least until the fall of 2024, when my son started as a freshman at Notre Dame. Fitting that he has recognized that interlocking ND his whole life!
